The Clara Proposal Ring is a 2.5 carat oval lab grown diamond set in 9ct yellow gold. After the proposal, return the ring within 12 months and get the full purchase amount as a credit toward your forever ring. Both yourself and your partner design the next one together.

An engagement ring carries a lot of decisions. Stone shape, setting style, band width, metal colour, profile, finger fit. Most of those decisions are often best made with the person wearing the ring.

The Clara Proposal Ring is the bridge. A wearable, beautiful diamond ring that does the work of the proposal, then put toward the piece you design together. It's also the right ring for couples who aren't ready to invest in a forever piece. First home, first baby, first business, these things are all so important and often come at the same time you’re ready to propose.

As many of our pieces are made to order, not all styles are held in studio at all times. We recommend contacting our team, prior to your visit to confirm availability of a specific design.

The Clara Proposal Ring is not produced to the same standards as our Signature Suite or custom rings. Cast construction keeps the price accessible and the turnaround quick. It's not the forever ring, and it isn't meant to be. It's the ring for the moment, and if you choose to keep it; the ring for travel, weekends, and wherever everyday life happens.

How the credit works

  1. Propose with The Clara Proposal Ring.
  2. Book a design appointment with our Newcastle studio, at one of our residencies, or remotely.
  3. Return and apply the full purchase price as credit toward any made-to-order or bespoke piece, less a $250 polishing and cleaning fee.

The credit can go toward anything in our engagement collection or a fully bespoke design built around a stone you choose together.

Q. Can I propose without an engagement ring?
A. You absolutely can, but many people love to have something in the box. The Clara Proposal Ring gives you something beautiful to propose with, without committing to a design that should belong to both of you.

Q. Do I have to return the ring?
A. No. Some clients keep it as a travel ring or a daily alternative to their main piece. It's yours.

Q. What if my partner loves the ring as it is?
A. That’s fine. There's no obligation to upgrade. The only limitations will be around future warranty & insurance value, as the diamonds are uncertified.

Q. Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
A. Yes. Lab grown diamonds are chemically, physically, and optically identical to mined diamonds, and are certified by the same gemological labs (IGI, GIA) on the same 4Cs scale.

*Polishing and cleaning fee of $250 applies to all returned proposal rings. Credit is non-transferable and applies to made-to-order and bespoke pieces.
