End of Month Notes: September

A full month of community, new designs, New York plans and the first signs of Christmas taking over the studio

  1. September was a full one.

    Behind the scenes, we’ve been working hard to bring a whole lot of new designs to life in time for the holiday season, with back-to-back campaign shoots getting everything ready. We’re so proud of these pieces and judging by your reactions to the sneak peeks, we think you’ll love them too.

    There were also school holiday workshops, a business panel, New York plans and the first signs of Christmas beginning to take over the studio.

    Here’s a little more from the month.

  2. THE LITTLE JEWELLERS TOOK OVER

    Our Tiny Jewellers school holiday workshop was equal parts chaotic and cute.

    We invited the kids into the studio to create their own beaded bracelets and necklaces, with colour very much encouraged It turned into such a beautiful community afternoon. We caught up with familiar faces, met plenty of new ones and loved seeing the studio so full.

    Nixx kept the coffee flowing and Pen Bakes Cakes supplied the cupcakes for the kiddos.

    It went down so well that we’re already tempted to bring it back for the Christmas holidays.

    K&K FRAGRANCE WENT LIVE

    You asked, so we made more.

    After plenty of requests, K&K Fragrance officially launched online this month and is now available in mini and sample sizes.

    A little easier to try, travel with or gift.

  2. CURRENTLY ON SET

    September involved a lot of time behind the camera.

    We’ve been shooting new arrivals and campaign content ahead of the holiday season, bringing to life pieces we’ve been working on for months.

    There’s still a lot to come before the end of the year and we’re trying not to show you everything at once.

  1. CHRISTMAS HAS ENTERED THE BUILDING

    Yes, already.

    The first signs of Christmas are starting to take over the studio, with planning well underway across events, giveaways, seasonal campaigns and packaging.

    Last year was our biggest Christmas yet. This year is shaping up to be even bigger.

  2. VIEW ROLES

    WE'RE HIRING

    We’ve also opened a few new roles at Kate & Kole, including Marketing Assistant, Customer Service Lead and Christmas Casual / Studio Assistant.

    We don’t open roles very often, so it feels like a particularly exciting time to welcome some new people into the team.

    If Kate & Kole has been on your radar for a while, now might be the time.

  1. OUT OF OFFICE, SORT OF

    We kept this year’s team retreat close to home in Newcastle and it looked a little different to previous years.

    Less itinerary, more time together.

    We spent an afternoon making beaded bracelets over wine and snacks, had some very good food and got the chance to properly catch up outside the usual studio rhythm.

  2. BOOK APPOINTMENT

    NEW YORK, AGAIN

    We’re heading back to New York soon and have been busy preparing a new drop for our SoHo showroom within WeWearAustralian.

    We’ll also be giving the space a little refresh while we’re there and starting to plan a few things as Christmas gets closer.

    Appointments for engagement rings, wedding bands and fine jewellery are available to book now through WeWearAustralian.
